Champion Vet Ibrox is part of the Champion Vets group and has been established since 2003 as a small-animal practice. The website highlights on-site diagnostic facilities (in-house lab, X‑ray and ultrasound) and dentistry, and it holds RCVS General Practice status plus Cat Friendly Clinic (Silver) accreditation.
From the latest reviews, many owners describe calm handling during appointments (including for nervous cats) and say the practice supports both routine care and urgent same-day problems. However, one detailed review raises serious concerns about continuity of care (seeing different vets, limited case management for long-term issues) and describes a very distressing euthanasia experience; another mentions a procedure quote changing despite “nothing had changed.”
Based on the clinic website summary and review content, services mentioned include
The structured clinic data also states this is a Veterinary Nurse Training facility.
Named individuals mentioned in the latest reviews
A major point of disagreement across reviews is continuity: one reviewer alleges high vet turnover and repeatedly having to re-explain their pet’s history, while multiple other recent reviewers describe consistently good care.

This was a great practice years ago but has gone downhill massively. You see a different vet every time you go and there is no case management for animals with ongoing issues and having to explain your dogs history every single visit to someone who is only covering a day or two and isn't interested. My dogs cancer was missed for almost a year despite me asking to have the lump looked at but they "couldn't find it so it probably isn't anything to be concerned about" and had unecessary operations on my dogs eye when all he needed was eye drops which cured his problems in under 2 months; why would you suggest eye surgery before eye drops? I was told my dog had weeks or months left of vision at 5yrs old and yet he could still see when he passed at 9.5yrs old. Being asked whilst holding my dog for his last moments on earth if I wanted to just go and pay for his euthanasia at reception whilst the medication took effect and the vet repeatedly saying "fantastic!" throughout his euthanasia whilst I stood and watched my dog die, nothing about that experience was "Fantastic" and can't comprehend why that is language used by a professional during a euthanasia. It was once again a vet I had never seen before who didn't seem to know where anything was leaving the room and re-entering 10 times when all I wanted was a peaceful few last moments with my dog and even botched putting the canula innrepeatedly. I asked for his pawprints to be posted to me, as they were with our family dog, and they refused meaning I had to return to the place that traumatised me after I explained I couldn't face going in there again and offered to pay for postage. They didn't claim my insurance for almost a year of monthly medications despite assurances they had. I kept receiving messages and letters about my other dogs vaccines despite leaving this practice and called to make sure this was stopped as I didn't want to hear from somewhere who handled my dogs euthanasia so horrifically and the woman I spoke to didn't even apologise or care about why I wanted contact stopped, just amended my communication preferences and no acknowledgement of anything I said. Avoid this practice, they are a multi-national profit driven business turning over millions per year who care more about their shareholders profits than your pets care. I will never get over the horrendous experience of having my dog euthanised here and I will never recommend or use this practice again. There are some staff who are lovely: LJ & Gabby, but I honestly couldn't name or recommend a single vet as there is such high turnover of vets and I think I rarely ever seen the same one twice despite attending almost monthly.

Changed quote for my dog's procedure even although nothing had changed. Written quotes are binding in scotland. Not disable friendly building and parking difficult

Great vets! They take great care of my greyhound, Nugget, for both routine and emergency work. The staff are lovely, and my dog is always so happy to visit. Pictured: Nugget refusing to leave after a checkup

Fantastic vets. These people really care about the animals they treat & their owners. Everything from the lovely kind receptionist I booked in with who was calm and helpful. To the fabulous gentle lady vet & student. Frida was handled with care and honesty 👏 can't reccomend how professional and fabulous these people are. Don't hesitate to go here . Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Without question the best vet I've been to in my life. The receptionist LJ was incredible and wanted to know so much about my cat which made me, a nervous pet owner, feel so relaxed. Then the vet Irene was one of the most understanding, considerate vets I've ever met, and obviously a pet lover. Made my cat feel so relaxed and showed nothing but love and care for Negan. Honestly, just a different level of service. Thank you.
