Glasgow Forge Vets4Pets Ltd is part of the Vets4Pets group. The clinic’s website describes a relatively well-equipped setup (three consultation rooms, an operating theatre, in-house lab, pharmacy, digital X‑ray and ultrasound, plus separate cat and dog wards and an isolation unit). They also state a policy of requiring a deposit for procedures and requesting 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
From the latest reviews, owners most often mention routine surgeries and cat care (spays/neuters), along with travel documentation (Animal Health Certificate). Review experiences are mixed: several describe clear explanations of options and a “not pushy on expensive treatments” approach (including being told a supplement was cheaper elsewhere), while a few report poor communication and concerns about pricing/brief appointments.
4.5 stars from 397 reviews. - Clear explanations and option-walking: one owner describes being talked through forms and given options during a cat drop-off.

Took my wee Rabbit to vets for pets and had a bit of an issue, the Lady Nikki on the front desk was great so so helpful, sorted everything out for me when she didn’t need to, got my rabbit in for her jag and all the staff that took part were absolutely great. Great team and would definitely recommend them.

Myself and my wife had our chocolate working cocker spaniel Abbey registered here for 6 years. We had moved over 30 miles away so we needed a new practice but in the 6 years we had Abbey registered here, we found Stuan and the staff great to deal with and they always put Abbey at ease. They were very ethical and charged fairly for what they did. Abbey passed away this week from pancreatic and liver cancer that started very suddenly. Thank you very much for the services over the years. This is a great practice to have your dog at.

Very lovely team. Always had a great experience with both getting my cats neutered and with one of my cats who had cystitis. Angelique is a great vet. Also have the care plan which has been great. Had nothing majorly serious but both the vets and nurses seem very attentive and haven't been pushy on expensive treatments either, even informing me it is cheaper to get my cystitis supplement elsewhere online

I was sent here by my usual Vets4Pets branch for an Animal Health Cerificate and was told the costs would be around £120. My dog was already vaccinated for rabies so the only thing which was needed was to scan his chip and fill out the forms. I was charged £263 for a few minutes of paperwork which is absolutely disgusting. Not only that but he didn't even look once at my dog to assess his health. Don't come here, you will be fleeced for as much as possible.

I took in a hedgehog that I had found in the middle of a very busy road at 9.30am. I managed to lift it and took it to this practice. I asked if they could check it and they said it was an SSPCA issue!!! I said if you check it and it’s ok I can take it home, feed it and release it to somewhere grassy tonight. She said all we will do is put it to sleep I was scared it was injured or unwell. I said I start work in 90 mins, I don’t know what to do. I had to agree and left feeling so upset that regardless of being ‘wildlife’ it still deserved to care from the very caregivers of all animals domestic or wildlife. I just wondered if I’d offered to pay that the outcome would have been different (I know Vets have a duty of care to wildlife) ♥️ Definitely not this practices finest hour

Dropping my cat off at the vet. Receptionists were friendly. The nurse was also very friendly, polite and gentle with my cat. Walked me through all the forms and explaining all the options I had as well. The room was also nice and sanitised as I could see the anti bacterial wipes as well.

I’ve never felt so disappointed and dismissed by a veterinary clinic. The customer service at Vets4Pets has been consistently poor, especially from the receptionist, who speaks to clients with an attitude that’s more cold and condescending than caring. Trying to get through on the phone is already frustrating enough, but once you do, you’re met with rushed, dismissive communication that makes you feel like an inconvenience rather than a paying client concerned about your pet. No empathy, no professionalism. To make matters worse, the veterinary care itself felt undertrained and uncertain. basic questions were met with vague responses, and I left feeling more confused than reassured. It’s hard to trust a place with your pet’s wellbeing when both the front of house and clinical staff lack care and clarity. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to consider alternative clinics where compassion and competence are actually part of the service.
