Glenbrae Veterinary Clinic Ltd is a veterinary practice that also operates as a veterinary nurse training facility. Based on the latest reviews available to us, owners most often describe efficient, friendly front-desk handling and vets who take time to explain diagnoses and treatments—though a couple of reviews report poor communication and dissatisfaction with decision-making and aftercare.
Concrete examples owners mention include being seen “at such short notice,” being shown straight into a private room for a dog-reactive dog, and surgical care ranging from rabbit spaying to bladder stone removal (with very different views on how well the case was handled).
4.8 stars from 297 reviews. The latest written reviews are mostly very positive, with two recent 1-star reviews describing communication and service issues. “”

Your staff on the phone today I think her name was robin but I can’t be sure because at the end of the call when I asked her name and she refused which is completely against Scottish law refused to tell me. I’ve had good services previous and recommend other people who has had nothing but trouble so it looks as if you look after no one but your locals.. I will be on the phone again!.

I came with my rescue GSD for blood tests as she was very unwell and everyone was lovely. She is dog reactive and as soon as I mentioned this to the receptionist we were shown to a private consultation room and she was the calmest she has ever been at the vets. Joshua was considerate and took the time to stroke my dog and make her comfortable before taking her for tests and then was clearly extremely knowledgeable and great at explaining the diagnosis and treatment. Thank you!

Not a good experience. Our 5 year old dog started to pee blood. Concerned we took him to the vet. Having previously really good health and this being my first dog, I don't have a lot of experience with vets. After the initial visit they gave him anti-inflammatory medication. We gave him the medication and the symptoms seemed to go and for a short while he stopped peeing blood. (Would like to highlight he was still walking and eating normally.) However this did not continue. His symptoms came back and we took him back to Glenbrae. After another consultation the vet advised to get him castrated as this was more than likely the cause. The day of the castration and after much deliberation we decided not to castrate and asked for a ultrasound and also bloods to be taken to try and make sure that he was getting treatment to resolve the actual problem and not a 'just because or guess work' . After the ultrasound it was found that he had stones in his bladder. Operation scheduled we did not receive any instructions about when to stop feeding him or let him drink and had to call to find out. What they were concerned about was if he was insured. Operation was carried out, stones removed and thankfully now he is doing fine. We are moving vets. The before and aftercare is just not good enough, mis communication, practise manager very unhelpful bordering on rude, assumptions about what was wrong without any evidence and looking to carry out procedures just because. Most of the reception staff are helpful but, they are limited in what they can do. It's the vets that actually let them down. I would unfortunately not recommend due to our experience.

I have been taking my furbabies to Glenbrae vets for years and I wouldn’t take them anywhere else. The staff are absolutely brilliant. We get a very warm welcome each and every time. Glenbrae actually treat your pet as one of their own. Highly recommended
